University of Bedfordshire Campus


Both main campuses have on-campus housing. There are also two schools dedicated to teaching in nursing degrees andmidwifery Butterfield Park on the outskirts of Luton and on the campus of Oxford House in Aylesbury Buckinghamshire. The University also has a fifth site in Putteridge report that is home to the University of Bedfordshire Knowledge Hub and Business School graduate.



Each campus has its own specialized library and learning resources. There is a large online digital library. Luton Park Square houses the collection of the university's main library, the Social Learning Space and IT Suite. Bedford Polhill campus has a large library that provides a full range of services, including information on learning while Putteridge Bury Hub specializes in supporting materials courses in education. Luton Campus

Luton campus is home to the following schools of study: business, media, art and design, science, IT, Law, Psychology and Social Sciences, and there are 1573 rooms available to students on the campus of Luton.

Putteridge Bury, Luton

Built in 1911, Putteridge Bury is a country house set in 30 acres of gardens and parkland, just four miles from Park Square campus on the border of Hertfordshire - Bedfordshire. It is home to the graduate programs in Bedfordshire Business School and the Conference Centre of the University.

Bedford Campus

The campus in Polhill Avenue Bedford is about 20 minutes walk from the town center of Bedford. The university offers a free bus service linking the city center and the campus. The campus has recently undergone a renovation that includes a Center for Physical Education and Sport Sciences used to train athletes at the 2012 Olympics, and a center of Bedford Campus boasting a 280-seat theater, dance halls, restaurant and social spaces for students. Liberty Park, the recently completed £ 20 million on-campus student accommodation, offers 500 rooms with bathroom, study. The Library was designed byvan Polhill Heyningen and Haward Architects as a gateway to the campus. The building was completed in 2001 and offers over 360 individual study spaces and teaching space, work areas for staff and traditional library services.

Butterfield Park

Butterfield is home to a building specifically designed for students in the Health, Nursing and Midwifery, and £ 1m has been invested to provide students with adequate education and learning resources. The 85-acre Construction and technology "area offers facilities includin a skills lab and simulation center £ 500,000 clinic, surgical suite, hospital room and the family room, to ensure students develop and hone their clinical skills in realistic scenarios.

Butterfield was named Green Office Park of the Year Awards 2008 in Development, Bureau for Development competition environment of the future.

It is home to the Institute of Applied Sciences Research Luton Natural (LIRANS), which focuses on graduate education, research, applied research and product development - in partnership with other academic groups and in collaboration with industry. LIRANS conducts research in three broad areas: cryobiology, environmental change and sensors.

Butterfield Park is located in the north-east of Luton. Also nearby Putteridge Bury College Campus, which is four miles from the main square Park campus.

Buckinghamshire campus

Buckinghamshire Bedfordshire University campus for students of Health, Nursing and Midwifery, in Aylesbury, is equipped with purpose built facilities including a multipurpose laboratory skills with extensive simulation facilities. Students undertake clinical practice in Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury, in Wycombe General Hospital in High Wycombe, and in a variety of community-based health settings. Students can take advantage of accommodations just steps from the hospitals. There is the opportunity to participate in local communities and professionals with local NHS Trusts and disciplines.

The Students

Postgraduate studies

The University offers courses at the graduate level. Currently has 4,000 graduate students and 1,200 staff in more than 100 countries, with over 46 percent of students over 25 years.

In the last year of Government Research Assessment (RAE) 2008, University of Bedfordshire was recognized as a "world leader" for his research into the systems of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Social Work, Social Policy and Administration, English Language and Literature and Communications, Culture and Information Sciences.
