Dubai is the busiest airport
Dubai International Airport became the world's busiest
airport for the fifth consecutive year. On January 28, Dubai Airport CEO Paul
Griffiths announced that 8.91 crore people will be arriving at their airport in
2018. Most of these travelers (1.22 crores) are Indians. Dubai Airport has been
the busiest airport in the world every year since 2014.

Trump and Kim visit in February
The White House announced in January that US President
Donald Trump and North Korean President Kim Jong Un will meet in February. But

Hasina wins Bangladesh election
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina-led Mahakutami won the 11th
parliamentary election in Bangladesh on December 30. The election results were
announced by the Central Election Commission on December 31. Hasamina's
Awamilig and its allies won 288 seats, out of a total of 300 parliamentary
seats and 299 seats. The opposition coalition National United Front (NUF) won
seven seats. Hasina will take over as Bangladesh's Prime Minister for the third
consecutive time.
Prime Minister Hasina got 2,29,539 votes from the Southwest
Gopalganj constituency, while her NUF candidate got 123 votes. The ruling
coalition won 82 percent of the total votes and 15 percent of the votes.
Haseena, daughter of Bangladesh's first President Mujibur Rahman, was born on
September 28, 1947, in Tungipara, East Pakistan (now Bangladesh). She married
the nuclear scientist MA Wajed in 1968 and became the president of the AwamiLeg
Party in 1981.
